Global Peace Exchange

Support

Global Peace Exchange keeps projects running through grants, fundraising, and the generosity of our supporters and friends.

In the past, GPE has received support from various grants including the Clinton Global Initiative University, the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation, the FSU TRUE Seminole award, and also enduring support from the FSU College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights, and the William A. Kerr Intercultural Education & Dialogue Initiative.

The Florida State University College of Social Sciences and Public Policy has played an integral part in guiding and supporting Global Peace Exchange. Throughout the organization’s history, the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy has been one of the most important supporters of the organization both financially and academically.

Furthermore, with the upcoming project to Rwanda this summer, the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy will provide travel stipends to each member of the GPE Rwanda team.

For additional information on the college, http://www.coss.fsu.edu/

Specifically, the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy’s William A. Kerr Intercultural Education & Dialogue Initiative has played a primary role in shaping the organization throughout its early stages. With the help of the late Monsignor William A Kerr, GPE was able to establish a continuing and fruitful relationship with our contacts within Rwanda.

Along with the ongoing support of FSU’s College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, GPE has received yearly support from FSU’s Center for the Advancement of Human Rights.

Additional information on the Center can be found at: http://www.cahr.fsu.edu/

Additionally, GPE has received a great deal of support from the FSU community as a whole, especially FSU’s TRUE Seminole Award, a school wide campaign to promote FSU spirit and tradition. Today as well as in the past, the award has provided invaluable support for the projects implemented abroad.
